Chemistry Lab
Put on your lab coats and safety goggles, and lets get to work!
During this wondrous week of science, get ready to make some wild concoctions. Our campers will have a blast with experiments, slime, and investigation of elements. We will study the periodic table, common chemical compounds, and explosions! Junior campers will learn about some different textures and reactions (is it fizzy or foamy, fluffy or foggy?) and will enjoy many sensory activities.
Who should sign up for The Chemistry Lab?
This is a great week for curious children who love science, experiments, and ask lots of “why” questions. This week will include chemicals, open flames, and other materials that campers will need to handle delicately(for ages 7+). This is NOT a good camp for guardians who get nervous letting their children handle these materials.
Full time campers should bring a water bottle, snack and lunch. Half time campers need a water bottle and snack. Please bring a pair of sneakers for running games and hikes. We spend the day making messy art projects and science experiments, as well as playing games outdoors – it is important to send your child with clothes that can get dirty and wet. We do lots of water play, so make sure to pack a bathing suit and towel.
